System Support Specialist

Our partner has more than 40 years of experience in research and development in the field of lottery systems. They are a worldwide leading supplier of lottery products, with more than 170 employees in Budapest, and currently serving more than 400 customers on six continents.

Feladatok

In this position your main tasks will be the following:

  • Keep running applications for lottery companies
  • Monitoring lottery system components and events
  • Fulfill service requests for the customers
  • Execute recurring daily operational tasks
  • Troubleshooting application problems and outages according to documentation
  • Handle, register and follow up incoming request/incidents
  • Constant communication and support to involved resolver units and partners
  • Reporting
  • Participate in calls in case of outage
  • Preparing/making presentations for clients and introducing/teaching system functions to colleagues through internal training, if required

Elvárások

  • be able to provide professional high quality support to customers in 24/7 shifts (3x8 hours - majority is morning/afternoon shift. In a 4-5 weeks period of time 4-5 days night shift) 
  • be able to use your excellent English on a daily basis 
  • have adequate communication skills, solution focused mind and strong team spirit 
  • have experience in working with ITSM ticketing systems, and in IT operations 
  • be familiar with ITIL processes 
  • have IT attitude, willingness to learn new systems 
  • be open to continuously extend your professional skills 
  • be stress resistant, team player 

 

  • have knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems  
  • basic networking backgrounds (TCP/IP) 
  • basic database (SQL) knowledge 
  • scripting skills (Perl, PHP, Bash, Python or anything similar) 
  • several years of relevant experience in IT application operation 
  • Bachelor's degree is an advantage
