Job Description
You will be part of a team supporting an M2M BSS system in a cloud environment. Your primary focus will be in charging and billing, but there will be plenty of opportunities to try yourself in other areas as well. In this role, you will handle incidents and problems in according with fundamental ITIL principles; monitor application KPIs and ensure that SLAs are met. You will also prevent issues proactively that may lead to incidents, acting as the level-headed, no-nonsense expert who understands the perspectives of both the vendor and the customers. Your analysis work will involve managing database tables scaling up to billions of rows and navigating complex business workflows.
Qualifications
Skills:
- You have a solid grasp of Oracle SQL and understand PL/SQL scripts, you are able to write effective queries on massive tables.
- Experience in ORACLE, with a strong focus on performance tuning, to professionally optimize and enhance system efficiency
- Linux shell is like your second home. You eat basic file manipulation and text pattern tools for breakfast.
- You are comfortable with using GIT for basic version control, and GITLab for pipelines. You understand what virtual machines are.
- You are not intimidated by a wide range of ticketing systems (Jira, HPSM, ServiceNow). You follow ITIL principles.
- You have a confident command of English, written and verbal.
- You understand agile principles, so that you can work with vendors in symbiosis.
Soft skills:
- You are a team player, so that the strengths of the team add up.
- You are self-organised and motivated to explore new topics, so that you can work autonomously.
- You focus, so that you meet deadlines.
- You can multitask, so that you can follow dozens of open issues until their resolution.
Nice to have:
- You are familiar with the mobile network domain, so that you can tell an ICCID from a toaster. Ideally, you are into cloud of things and other forms of machine-to-machine communication.
- You have fiddled with some billing and CRM systems before.
