Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), a government agency for the trade & invest promotion of Flanders, the northern region of Belgium, is looking for a full-time Assistant to the Flemish Economic Representative  for its office in Budapest. We offer a one-year fixed-term contract to replace a colleague on maternity leave, with a possibility of the extension of the contract by one more year.

Job description:

• Customized support and assistance to Flemish companies and organizations. Analysis, research and answering of trade requests from Flemish companies with regards to the Hungarian Market.
• Planning and organization of trade & invest related events – info sessions, conferences, business delegations and B2B meetings between Flemish and Hungarian companies and organizations; Participation in business events.
• Proactive screening and analysis of relevant market/sector information. Redaction and update of business news and market insights.
• Intense communication with internal and external parties with regards to the completion of the above duties.
• Other general office management and administrative tasks.

Required profile, experience and competences:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in but not limited to Business /Economic studies;
• Working experience with international exposure is a plus;
• Excellent command of English and Hungarian, both oral and written. Knowledge of Dutch will be a plus;
• Excellent command of Microsoft business tools; Comfortable with IT applications and database management;
• Ability to approach a wide variety of duties in a structured way and to meet deadlines ;
• A can-do, pro-active and outgoing personality with excellent communications skills;
• Attention to details and accountability;
• Interest in the Hungarian economy and international economic contexts; Knowledge on the economy of Flanders will be a plus.
