Procurement Engineer
We are assisting a new precision machinery manufacturing company in Hungary in their search for a Procurement Engineer.
Feladatok
- Develop, evaluate, and maintain relationships with local suppliers (steel, copper, plating, packaging)
- Manage daily supplier communication, order placement, delivery tracking, and quality feedback
- Assess supplier performance regularly and optimize supplier resources
- Conduct annual price negotiations with suppliers
- Develop procurement plans based on production schedules and inventory levels
- Negotiate procurement contracts to ensure fair pricing and timely deliveries
- Monitor procurement processes and address any issues
- Responsible for the procurement of office facilities and equipment, and assist in the procurement of production equipment
- Complete other tasks assigned by management
Elvárások
- Relevant educational background (vocational school, technical college, or university degree preferred) in supply chain management, logistics, or manufacturing
- 3+ years of procurement/supply chain experience, preferably having experience in metal materials procurement, such as steel and copper
- Fluent in English and Hungarian (working proficiency)
- Familiarity with the Hungarian market, strong supplier networks, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and cost control
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office
