We are looking for our new
Senior Claim Management Expert
(for strategic and investment projects)
colleague, who will
support the successful implementation of claim management processes related to investment projects will coordinate planning and execution. They will continuously develop the project's claim management reporting process according to best business practices and participate in analyzing claim management processes, settlements, legal reviews, and investigations.
Main responsibilities:
- Support and lead regular reviews and adaptations of claims management processes across MOL Group, implementing best practices for identification, assessment, documentation, negotiation, and settlement. Maintain and implement new policies and procedures to ensure ongoing development of best practice procurement processes.
- Develop and manage strategies to prevent and minimize claims, ensuring prompt resolution to avoid project delays and overspending.
- Support the Group Claim Management Manager in claim management matters, enhancing processes by integrating lessons learned from projects and updating necessary investment regulations.
- Participate in implementing MOL Group practices for thorough root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in leading trainings for project teams on claims prevention and effective management strategies.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of all claims with adequate supporting evidence:
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on claim status and outcomes for senior management.
- Prepare and send claim notices during project execution, including the warranty period.
- Review relevant documentation before sending any notice.
- Continuously align with project management teams and external lawyers to prepare appropriate claim content.
- Monitor compliance with supplier agreements by requesting reports and reviewing project contracts to ensure adherence to claims-related terms and legal requirements.
Requirements:
- MSc degree (preferably in engineering / business administration / law / economics / PM)
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Project and claim management, strategic projects and procurement experience in the Energy industry
- Management and leadership skills, strong representation of business case
- Strong implementation, creative problem solving and analytical skills
- Advanced English and Hungarian knowledge
- SAP and MS Office knowledge
